Edward Lear - Wildlife Artist and Polymath
FREE ENTRY, but donations to the World Land Trust welcome.
The Halesworth Arts Festival, in conjunction with the World Land Trust presents a new exhibition on the works of 19th Century artist and poet Edward Lear.
Perhaps best known for his nonsense poetry, Lear was a gifted artist and often drew from life inspired by the exotic collections of wildlife at London Zoo.
His works are a celebration of the natural world and this exhibition will include original paintings from private collections, as well as works from artists influenced by Lear’s unique style.
The exhibition will include some prints (original and modern) for sale in aid of the World Land Trust.
Artbox runs regular art sessions for adults with special needs, exploring their creative potential and organising exhibitions to showcase and sell their work.
Artboxarts is a Community Interest Company, based in Chediston, Halesworth.
